The notice for the AGM having been issued to take place on 1st April 2023, all members intending to contest for the Board and or the Supervisory Committee in this coming AGM are invited to write to the Chairman of the Nominations Committee expressing interest. The expression to reach the committee by close of business on Friday 17th March 2023.
The candidates are required to have met the following requirements in line with by Laws 38;
No person shall be eligible for membership in the committee of the Society, or remain a member of such a committee if he:
- Is not a member of the Society;
- Is under eighteen years of age;
- Has not attained form four (4) level of education;
- Receives any remuneration, salary or other payments from the Society save as in accordance with these By-laws;
- Is a committee member for two other societies;
- Has not, within thirty days of being appointed, declared his wealth to the Commissioner in the prescribed manner;
- Is an undischarged bankrupt;
- Is of unsound mind;
- Has been convicted of any offence involving dishonesty or is sentenced to imprisonment for a term exceeding three months;
- Has been convicted of any offence under the Act or rules made thereunder;
- Has any un-cleared debt owing to the Society at the end of its financial year other than in respect of a loan granted under the provision of any rules made under these By-laws;
- Is a person against whom any amount of money is due under a decree, decision or order or is pending recovery under the Society’s By-laws.
- Has not attained the Minimum Share Capital of Kshs. 20,000
- Is not actively making the minimum monthly contributions of Kshs 1,000
- Has never participated in any of the Society projects.
All interested members are requested to apply in writing and attach a certified copy of form four level certificate, an identity Card current passport photo size.
